‘LETTERS FROM MY HEROES’

Letters From My Heroes… if they’d actually bothered to write back is a 50-minute one-man show that I wrote for The Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2023.

I performed the show from March 30th – April 23rd, 2023, to positive reviews from ArtsReview.com.au, TheatreMatters.com.au (5 STARS!) and SquirrelComedy.com.

The show’s premise is that I’ve been writing to my heroes–the stars of stage and screen–asking for advice. In the show, I reveal how they all might have responded (if they’d ever actually bothered to reply), in a fast-paced, jam-packed 50 minutes that critics are calling “a convenient way of stringing together a bunch of celebrity impressions.”

The success of the show in the festival has inspired me to revisit it for subsequent seasons, and I’m very pleased to say I’ll be touring the show through regional Victoria in 2024, with support and assistance from Regional Arts Victoria. I’m also exploring possibilities for presenting the show interstate and for corporate groups. If you happen to be in a position to put this show on, this video shows you a bit more of what it’s all about, and how to book it!
